I’m back but I’m kind of floating around at the moment, cat-sitting for Megan in Kensington, driving around and visiting folks all over the place. I kind of need to get my shit together (laundry, book reviews, bill-paying, new website launching, etc.), but I suspect I won’t really kick into gear until Tuesday. But boy am I going to be on fire, starting December 1. You’re going to be able to smell the smoke right through your goddamn monitor.
Yesterday I drove around an empty New York City listening to Hot 97 with Sunil, who was in town before he moves to Hong Kong. It was kind of the best. We ended our day at Waterfront Ale House, which has the best egg nog in town.
If you don’t know about their egg nog already, get yourself there immediately. You can get a to-go bottle at the bar, a perfect gift for a holiday party. And that was my one service announcement for the holiday season 2009.
Please note that I have added a bunch of dates to my tour down in that left-hand column at the bottom of the page. To be clear, starting Feb. 26, I will be in my car for one month. I am going to do some house party events in Los Angeles and various Midwestern cities (and am open to suggestions!) and will definitely be at SXSW. I’ll have a few more things to announce in the next month as well. It’s totally going to the Greatest Tour Ever. And, considering this economy, perhaps the last one. So I’m making this one count.
Also if anyone has a guest house anywhere on the Eastern seaboard they want to loan me for the months of April and May that would be fabulous. Just saying.
