Pinched a nerve somewhere in the three yoga classes this week. Flat on my back for most of the day. A useless day. I made brownies topped with sea salt though. Something had to get done. One little thing.
DFW is dead, suicide, it seems mad. It is mad. How can you achieve so much and still not be satisfied? And he was beloved by so many. But lots of writers (artists, musicians, etc.) I know can get really down (myself included) no matter what is going on their lives, so while it was shocking and sad and a total waste of an inspired and inspiring life, there is that sense that it was of course entirely possible that DFW could kill himself. Especially if you've ever read his writing, which, while full of life, was full of something close to the opposite as well.
But it is terrible. He was on the team, an MVP even, and no one on the team should go out like that.
