My fingers are bleeding.

So I'm leaving on Friday for back east, and, as always, I'm looking for tips to enhance my roadtrip (cool bookstores? a rock show or restaurant? art openings?), as well as free housing if you're so inclined. (I will buy you dinner and try my hardest to entertain and charm.) I will be driving through Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri, and then after that I should pretty much be taken care of by the usual generous friends and family.

I finished my final edits today (this is from the copyedited version), and sent them off to the good people over at Shaye Areheart Books. Also I saw the page designs. Let me tell you something about seeing your name on a title page for the first time: It rules. It rules this apartment, it rules this city, it rules this country, it rules the world, it rules the universe. Rules, rules, rules.

Good that my vocabulary hasn't advanced much past the seventh grade level, but you get the point. We are doing the happy dance round these parts.
