I am totally feeling better. Six days on the road will do that for a girl. I would tell you more about the trip but I'm writing about it for Nerve so I have to clam up for the moment. But the fresh air has done me some solid good.
Also this helped: I am happy to announce I sold my new novel, THE MELTING SEASON, to Riverhead Books. I don't know when they will publish it. 2010? I'm super excited to be published by those kids again. They've been kind and generous to me and my editor Megan Lynch is top notch and all the publicity and marketing folks are so smart and on it. It's the best possible place for me to be.
So thrilling. Everything is new at once.
And now I must go find cocktails in Laramie, WY. And cowboys!
