My ears are ringing.

Sneaky back building on Driggs

Went to the new Argentinian place on Driggs right by the L last night. Cinde said it was the best food going right now in Williamsburg and I kind of have to agree. We had the lobster tacos and holy shit were they delicious. They were like little Latin lobster rolls. Seriously, they are totally worth a trip to Williamsburg, just for those little gems. Later we went to some beautiful little bar on Berry that has the same owners as Employees Only and watched a motorcycle blow over in the wind.

(Again, don't ask me the name. In one ear, out the other with me. It's a serious problem I have but I don't have the time/power to fix it.)

Also I worked my office job yesterday. And I will work today. And tomorrow. And then I will be DONE. And then I shall write until my fingers bleed. After I move. And unpack. And paint. But then I will be DONE.

I can keep doing this by the way, making excuses. Don't tell anyone (ha), but I'm feeling a little nervous about getting back into the writing because now it's been a few months, and yes I've technically been writing at my freelance gig, but trust me, there's nothing literary about any of that, although the advertising world in general is highly fictional. But Wendy gave me a pep talk on Sunday and I had a good chat with Cristina yesterday and suddenly I have been reminded that all I have to do is just start writing again and it will come to me. As Wendy said - and I believe I am paraphrasing - on the phone the other day, "The oven isn't going to get hot unless you turn it on."

I got interviewed on the Book Club Queen site. Read it here. Every once in a while someone still cares about TKM and to them I say THANK YOU SIR! Or I guess Ma'am, in this instance. And also you can find out what book four is about if you click through.
