A town made from scratch.

Ann Curry was on my roof last night for some reason. It didn't seem to make any sense that a 50-year-old mother of two who has to get up at like 5 AM to do the Today show would be hanging with the hipsters over on the southside of Williamsburg but stranger things have happened. She was kind of loud and obnoxious but pretty nice (she introduced herself to a lot of people) and she's definitely easier on the eyes in person than on tv. It was really nice to see her smiling. Could she have been a little tipsy even? I was pro-Curry by the end of the night.
Right. I'm back to work over here. Got my 1000 words done by noon, and I have made two important phone calls and edited one interview. The week off did my good, though dear god was I bored by the end of it. I'm back in the groove (hopefully) of working on the novel. I would like to hit 50k words by the end of the week. Then I might actually feel like I am getting somewhere.
