Trees are the most peaceful thing on our planet because they can stand in one place forever and they don't talk.

Jonny and I went to the opening at Ad Hoc for "The Threat of Chance" show. It was a collaborative installation that looked like a railroad shanty town, and featured the work of Josh MacPhee, Chris Stain, Billy Mode and The Polaroid Kidd. It was a mass of paintings and snapshots and stencils and signs and flags and prints. We were both really impressed at how everyone's work went so well together and I can't even imagine how much time they must have spent installing everything. I actually bought a piece by Billy Mode that I really loved. It's a stunning show, really worth the extra stops on the L.
