I'm here to inform you of the truth.

The Cathedral at Chartres. More at Flickr

We drove to Chartres today. I like it when the GPS voice says "droite" because it sounds like "twat." Oh, I'm so international and cultured, really I am.

Anyway the cathedral there was predictably impressive, lots of things you studied in intro to art history, flying buttresses and insane stained glass windows and the like. Inside we found some chanters which is always a little creepy. It makes me feel like at any minute someone is going to try and convert me. At one point I whispered to Brian, "I think I just let Jesus into my heart," but it turns out it was just my crepes from lunch acting up on me.

Jesus gets confused for heartburn all the time.

Memo to the guy who wrote me he was sick of "Neurotic New York Cunts" today and that he was thinking of importing women from his home state of Georgia:

If you don't like New York women, then move home. Think they're too tough to handle? It's not my fault you're a pussy. And if you think being neurotic is annoying rather than charming, you're really in the wrong place.

New York - love it or leave it. Now please leave. (3/07/05)
