Not a joke.

Remember last year when I went to Idiotarod and it was fucking awesome? Well this year I'm going again only this time I'm volunteering, which means a couple of things:

• I'm going to freeze my ass off.

• I'm going to miss the Outsider Art Fair at the Puck Building. You can go for me though, and say hi to Daniel Belardinelli who did the art work for Instant Love #2 and will have a booth there.

• I'm going to get even better photos than last year. (Not hard.)

• I'm pretty sure I will get drunk during the daytime.

OK, so these are the checkpoints:

Starting Line: Fulton Ferry Landing Pier, between Old Fulton and Water streets, Brooklyn
Checkpoint 1: The Patriot Saloon, 110 Chambers Street, at Church Street, Manhattan
Checkpoint 2: The Lotus Bar, 35 Clinton Street, at Stanton, Manhattan Finish line: Tompkins Square Park, 7th Street, between Avenues A and B. The actual finish line will be at the first large open plaza on the south side of the park.

Seriously, do not miss this. You don't have to do anything but just show up downtown on Saturday. It is the most fun you will have all winter and that includes most sexual scenarios. (Not kidding.)

Also this weekend the Mighty Robot is closing (again) so there's going to be two nights of madness with the usual suspects, Oakley Hall and others on Friday night and Oneida and others on Saturday night.

People, you really cannot lose, all weekend long, plus February is right around the corner, and we can kiss this cursed month goodbye for another year. Yea, that's right, screw you January. We're still going to have fun!
